Here is our baby puppy. I had to take a picture of the printed photograph (remember those?)
Our pretty young lady. We called that fluff her legwarmers.
And our regal old gal.
What a smile!
Looking into the sun without a care in the world.
Something happened as I was posting my last post. Literally as I hit “Publish” the back door swung open. It squeaks a little bit when it opens. We always used to let Maggie out the back and closed but didn’t latch the door so she could push her way in. Apparently I HAD left it unlocked earlier tonight when I brought out the trash. As I was posting her story I heard the door swing open. It was a gust of wind. I’ve never believed in any sort of metaphysical mumbo jumbo, but come on…that gave me goosebumps. I love you Maggie.
As I mentioned on her blog where you shared her transition, I’m coming back to write more later. I’m not very coherent when I’m crying.
But I just wanted to confirm that Maggie definitely made a connection with you with that door! Having just read what you said about the “door” …the quiet…oh heah…she made sure you k ew she is still right by your side.
With love,

Ohhhhhh I would say that was DEFINITELY Maggie. See this post that we wrote about Jerry, just a few days after he passed:
I’m glad you got the photos posted, I loved seeing them. What a sweet gal, she reminds me so much of our Jerry and how he grew up too, they looked very much alike.
Remember, we are here for you now and always. Once a Tripawd mom, always a Tripawd mom. Thank you for all you did to show others that life on three legs rule and even senior pups can have a great life. This is such a legacy to everyone now and in the future. Maggie’s story will always be here to inspire.
Oh here is the link to the story:

These pictures are priceless treasures, absolutely priceless! Each one shows a happy and content and yes, a very Regal gal! She’s really beautiful.
When you feel up to it. Check out the “coping with loss” thread. There are so many suppprtive tips, poems, etc. from those of us who understand the depth of love, the intensity of this entire journey, and the deafening void.
I’m still jacing trouble getting my posts to submit, so I’m just going to write short posts for now.
Sending you love and more open doors from Maggie! I think that’s how she wa ts you to thinkmof her transition. She just went through another open door…..
